Wedding Trends We’re Loving (and Hoping to See at Scott Conference Center!)

If you’ve spent any time on TikTok or Instagram lately, you’ve probably seen dozens of wedding trends that make you stop and think, could that actually work for my big day? We’re the same way and we’ve been lucky enough to see some of these ideas come to life right here at Scott Conference Center. Others, we’re still anxiously waiting to make their debut.

Trends We’ve Loved Seeing

• Reception haircut: Forget the second dress! Why not surprise your guests with a whole new look? We’ve seen a bride chop her hair before hitting the dance floor, and the reactions were priceless.
• Live music at cocktail hour: A guitarist or vocalist sets such a warm, welcoming vibe while guests mingle.
• Wedding party tippy cup: Who says traditions can’t be playful? This one always gets the crowd cheering.
• Lounge seating: Creating a cozy corner with sofas and chairs gives guests a stylish spot to relax between songs.

Trends We’re Dying to See

• Seating chart with photos: Imagine guests finding their table by spotting a favorite photo of themselves with you. It’s personal and fun and sure to leave an impression.
• Handwritten thank you notes: A small gesture with a big impact. Placing them at each setting makes guests feel truly appreciated.
• Patterned tablecloths: Bold prints add instant personality to a reception space and are such an underrated design detail.
• Circle platform ceremony stage: Picture saying “I do” on a round stage under our chandelier, completely surrounded by your favorite people. Dreamy, right?
• Every married couple gets a first dance (again): When RSVPing, have couples submit their wedding song to be played during dinner, with the invitation to get up and dance when their song comes on.

The beauty of wedding trends is that they don’t have to be “just for the internet.” With the right planning and support, they can become the little moments that make your celebration unforgettable.

So tell us, are any of these speaking to you? Because we’d love to help make them happen at Scott Conference Center.
