Presenting / Speaking
Being a presenter or speaker is no small task, and we’re here to make sure you shine. At Scott Conference Center in Omaha, our AV team works closely with presenters to ensure every audio visual setup runs smoothly, from microphones and projectors to slide decks and video displays.

Frequently Asked Questions
What connections are available on the podium?
Each podium includes HDMI, USB-C, Mini DisplayPort, and Microsoft Surface Dock inputs for easy laptop and device connection.
What equipment is included with the podium?
Our podiums come equipped with a push-to-talk microphone, presentation clicker, and a Microsoft Surface for running slides or videos.
I’m using an Apple / MacBook. Do I need to bring an adapter?
Yes. Please bring the appropriate adapter (HDMI or USB-C to your device type) to connect to our podium system.
What size and format should my PowerPoint presentation be?
Presentations should be in landscape orientation with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a 1920 x 1080 resolution for the best display quality on our projectors and monitors.
Can I send my presentation in advance?
Absolutely! We encourage presenters to send their files early so our AV professionals can confirm proper formatting and compatibility.

What should I bring my presentation on?
You may bring your presentation on a USB drive or your own computer. Files can also be pre-loaded onto the podium’s Microsoft Surface for convenience.

Can a presenter join remotely?
Yes! Remote presentations and livestreaming are available. Please visit our Live Streaming section below for details on setup and options.
Can attendees join remotely?
Yes, we support hybrid and virtual event options so attendees can participate from anywhere. See our Live Streaming section below for more information.
What microphone options are available?
We offer a variety of microphone setups to fit your event:

Up to 12 wireless microphones at a time

8 handheld and 8 lavalier (clip-on) mics

Each podium includes a push-to-talk microphone. (Wireless microphones provide up to 8 hours of use. Battery indicators may appear lower than actual charge due to rechargeable battery technology.)
Is a stage available in every room?
A stage is available in the Center Room or with a full conference center rental. The East, West, and Executive Boardroom do not include stage setups.
How large is the stage?
Our stage setup includes four 6’ x 8’ sections with an 18” height and two staircases.

What does the A/V package include?
Our standard AV package includes:

Do you offer confidence monitors for speakers?
Yes! We offer up to two 42” confidence monitors placed in front of the stage to help presenters stay on cue with duplicates of their slides. Please note, this is not a teleprompter.
Can vendors or attendees access power during the event?
Yes. Extension cords and power strips are available for vendor booths and attendee needs.

Are uplights available for the stage or event room?
Yes! We offer customizable LED uplights that can be adjusted to any RGB color. Up to 15 uplights are available per event.
Can the Pre-function TVs be customized?
Absolutely. We can display custom images or videos on entry and pre-function TVs.

What are the connection options for the Omaha Room TV?
All rooms use Solstice Wireless Display technology, allowing you to cast wirelessly from your laptop or device anywhere in the room.

Do you provide assistive listening devices?
Yes, assistive listening devices are available upon request for attendees who are hard of hearing.
Can I schedule a presentation run-through?
Of course! We highly recommend scheduling a run-through to ensure your presentation runs smoothly. Contact your event coordinator to arrange an in-person test before your meeting or conference.
Livestreaming / Recording
Bring your event to a wider audience with professional livestreaming and recording options at Scott Conference Center in Omaha. Whether you’re hosting a hybrid conference, virtual meeting, or live presentation, our AV team provides the tools and expertise to make remote participation seamless.
SCC-Hosted Zoom Meeting
Our team can set up and manage a Zoom webinar for up to 500 attendees, complete with full audio and video integration.

Client-Hosted Streaming

Recording Options
All recording packages include up to 8 hours of coverage with export in full HD (1920 x 1080 MP4 format). Choose from:

Picture-in-picture view featuring speaker, slides, and audio. Raw video files are provided via SharePoint within a few business days following your event.
I would like to say that Jerrica and Robyn were fantastic to work with - from start to finish. Their responses were quick and thorough and always friendly, ie. I felt like a client who mattered to them. They wanted us to have a successful event as much as we did. And, I have to say the same thing about Dustin and Chris. Dustin went out of his way to offer solutions and help explain high tech to a very low tech person (thank you!). The staff who were running the food and catering were exceptional as well. Believe me, it's not the norm nowadays. The staff were professional, helpful, responsive, and friendly. We would love to come back with another event. Thank you so much!
