How We Handle Food Allergies at Scott Conference Center

The best way to accommodate food allergies is through advance planning. Whenever possible, we ask clients to provide dietary restrictions before the event. This allows our culinary team to prepare allergy-friendly meals ahead of time so guests can be served alongside everyone else.

Before Your Event

To help guests make informed choices, we can:
• Provide allergen information for your menu before the event.
• Identify menu items that contain common allergens.
• Work with clients to develop menu options that accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Create customized meals for guests with specific needs.

The more information we have in advance, the better we can prepare.

Allergy Accommodations at Buffet Events

Buffets offer flexibility, but they can also create concerns for guests with food allergies. To make buffet service easier and safer, we can:

• Display menu and allergen information at the beginning of the buffet line.
• Show menu details and allergens on screens near the buffet.
• Prepare individual allergy-friendly plates for specific guests.
• Have a chef walk guests through the buffet and identify safe menu options.

Our goal is to help guests enjoy the meal with confidence in what they’re consuming.

Allergy Accommodations for Plated Dinners

For plated events, advance notice is especially important. During dinner service, our culinary team is focused on preparing and serving hundreds of meals on a tight timeline. While we always do our best to accommodate guests, last-minute allergy requests can be challenging.

Guests who do not communicate allergies before the event may experience longer wait times while a safe meal is prepared. For the smoothest experience, we strongly encourage collecting dietary restrictions during the RSVP process and sharing them with your venue before final guest counts are due.

Our Chefs Are Available During Meals

One advantage of hosting an event at Scott Conference Center is having chefs on-site during meal service. If a guest has questions about ingredients, preparation methods, or allergen concerns, our culinary team is available to help. They can explain menu items, confirm ingredients, and provide guidance on safe options.
